A carbon dioxide heat pump is a refrigeration unit that uses carbon dioxide as the refrigerant. It captures low-grade heat sources from natural air, water and other media through the refrigeration cycle and converts them into high-quality heat energy for production and use. Unlike traditional heat pumps, CO2 heat pumps can produce high temperature hot water of 65-90°C, which has unparalleled advantages such as energy saving and environmental protection.

The compressor inhales low temperature and low pressure gas carbon dioxide refrigerant from the evaporator, compresses the carbon dioxide refrigerant into high temperature and high pressure supercritical fluid by doing work, and the high temperature and high pressure supercritical fluid enters the gas cooler to exchange heat with water. After the high pressure fluid is reduced by the throttle of the expansion valve, the heat in the surrounding air is absorbed by the fan in the evaporator and evaporated into a low pressure gas, which is compressed by the suction compressor, so that the hot water is produced by repeated circulation.
